Rules: Piloting another Teams Mechs

Piloting another Team’s Mechs

At no time, may a Pilot from one Team pilot a Mech owned by another Team. The ONLY two exceptions to this rule involve Mercenaries. Mercenaries may be invited to augment a Team during a night’s engagements if one Team has significantly more Players than the other, and especially if a Team risks forfeiture of a battle due to lack of Players. This does not affect Clan Honor in any way, if Mercenary Players are used in this manner. Mercenaries used to augment Teams in this particular manner do so completely voluntarily, simply for the sake of playing the game, and will not be “officially” compensated for their participation. Team Leaders can, however, offer to compensate the Players on a case-by-case basis, according to the established Mercenary Pay Scales. Mercenaries may also Pilot another Unit’s Mechs in one other instance. If the Mercenaries are part of a Joint Strike Force or Joint Defense Force AND have a minimum of 1 Company (12) of Mechs involved in that particular Battle, they may be used to Pilot the Mechs of the other Units they are allied with. In this instance, compensation may be requested from the Unit(s) they are assisting.
