Rules: Overruns

Overruns

Overruns occur only in situations where one Team greatly outnumbers the other Team during a Battle. An Overrun affects only Planetary Assaults, and will come into effect when the number of Mechs on one side outnumbers the Mechs on the other by a ratio that is high enough to bring Overrun into effect. This means that Teams that have committed more resources to a Battle will have a greater advantage, which is reflected in the higher Ratio. Overruns will be determined at the start of a battle, and will remain in effect for the duration of the entire Battle.

An Overrun means that the Team with the Overrun advantage will maintain an edge in the Engagements of one additional Mech in the Game during all Engagements/Drops. This means that Battles fought in an Overrun condition will be fought 6 vs. 5 a. Team Leaders may agree to waive any advantage gained through overrun combat. Due to the enormous differences in Mech holding between the Inner Sphere Houses, and all other Teams in the League, the threshold ratio for Overrun to exist has been increased to 4:1. This means that a Team must, at the start of a Battle, must have 4 times (rounded down) the number of opposing Mechs.
