| | Battle Timing and LocationFollowing the cycle of the Automation from the Submission Phase to the Combat Phase, Team Leaders will be able to see the Battle Reports portion of the Automation. All onuses are placed upon the Attacker, to ensure that their opponents are aware that they are being attacked. The Automation will assist this process, through a combination of “Acknowledgements” built into the Battle Reports Interface of the Automation. Within 48 hours of the start of the Combat Phase, Attackers must begin the process of arranging for Battle Timings, Dates, and Locations. Defenders have an Additional 48 hours after the Attackers, to acknowledge and confirm, change, or otherwise reply to the Attacker’s Battle arrangements. If, after 48 hours, an Attacker has not begun this process, or if after 92 hours (48 hours after the Attacker’s cut-off time), the Defender has not acknowledged the impending attack, then the side which has not responded shall be considered in forfeit. The side which was not in forfeit will be automatically declared the Winner of the Battle, and all Mechs (as well as Planets, if applicable) from the forfeiting Team will be awarded to the Winner as Salvage. Once both the Attacker and the Defender have agreed via email and/or direct communication, upon a date, time, and place (IRC Chat Server) for a Battle to be played out, actual combat is ready to begin.
