| | Salvage is one of the most valuable sources of replacement Mechs, and also Mech Chassis types that a Team is not capable of producing (Including Mechs of the opposite Technological Base). A Mech is very rarely ever “Completely Destroyed” in Battle, regardless of the amount of Damage done to it. Each Team will have a “Salvage Yard” Similar to their Supply Depot, into which they will place all Mechs taken as Salvage in Battle. These Mechs, as they stand, are not usable in Combat, until repaired. By expending C-Bills and RawM equal to 50% of that particular Mech Chassis’ Original Production cost, a Team Leader can then transfer that Chassis to his Mech Depot, to await issue to a Vacant Mech Slot on his TO&E. The chances of any particular Mech being “salvageable” are 50%. This random factor is integrated into the Battle Reporting portion of the Automation. If a Mech is found to be “un-salvageable”, it is “scrapped”, and added as salvaged RawM in a Team’s Ledger.
