Rules: Mech Resupply

Mech Re-supply

As stated above, each Team in the FASA Universe has a limited number of trained Mechwarriors. Regardless of the number of Mechs they can produce in their factories they can only field as many Mechs as they have pilots to man them. This is a realistic and reasonable assumption. To this end, the Astral Dominion League will use the following method of re-supply for Mech Units:

Mechs produced in a Team's Factories each Turn will be placed into a notional “Supply Depot” or “War Stocks”, to await issue to a Sub-Unit that has sustained Mech losses in combat. As detailed in the Mech Construction section of the Economy, each Team Leader will be able to dictate the types of Mechs that they want to produce by Ramping Up production at a factory that produces the ‘Mech that they desire, however they cannot normally be used right away, and must be held in reserve, waiting to be issued to Sub-Units that have vacancies (Units that have lost a Mech in Combat). Until the time that a Mech is required to fill a vacancy, new Mechs will be stored in an “account” or “Supply Depot” on the Team Leader’s Automation Interface. If the Team Leader requires the re-supply of Mechs lost in a battle, he will access the Merchant Movement portion of the Automation, during the Submission Phase of the Turn, and select the individual Mech(s) that he wishes to use for the re-supply, and then select the vacant slot in their TO&E where they are to go to. At no time can a Team’s “Supply Depot” be looted of Mechs, short of the complete elimination of that Team from the League. Teams may acquire Mechs of a Technology other than their own; however these Mechs can only be acquired through Trade with a Team that has the Mech that you want. The other method for acquiring Mechs of a different Technology base is through Salvage. Mechs in a Team's supply Depot may be traded for C-Bills, RawM, or Other Mechs, through the “Trade and Barter” Interface of the Automation. Once a Mech has been assigned to a Mech Slot on a Team's TO&E, it is no longer available for Trade, and will remain there until it has been destroyed in Combat.

There is a time delay associated with re-supply that will be handled by the Automation. 1 (One) full turn after a Team Leader moves replacement Mechs from his Supply Depot, the replacement Mechs will at the deficient Sub-Unit’s current location (as long as it’s location is securely in that Team’s hands, of course). At no time will a Sub-Unit receive an amount of Mechs totaling more than that Sub-Unit’s “Full Strength Amount”.
