Mech OrganizationsEach Team in the Astral Dominion League will begin the Campaign with the as close as possible (within the limitations of the game) to the actual FASA Mech Unit strengths of their Teams as of 3067 (modified slightly for ease of play and Automation). A Team’s Mechs will also start the Campaign in “as close to” their actual FASA locations as possible, as of Mech Unit and Sub-Unit OrganizationInner Sphere TeamsA Mech does not, for the most part, operate alone if it can avoid it. For this reason, Mechs will be grouped into Units and Sub-Units, which will have certain minimum organizational limitations. Inner Sphere Mech Unit and Sub-Unit organizations will be based off of the FASA standard. For League purposes, Aerospace, and conventional Armor Units have been concerted to Mech Units. These organizations are a guideline, used for League purposes. The Organizations are as follows: Regiment = 3 Battalions (108 Mechs) Clan TeamsAll Clans also follow a minimum organizational limitation. Clan Mech Unit and Sub-Unit organization will be based off the FASA standard. Each Clan actually has its own variation of the Clan Organizational Standard, as set down by Nicholas Kerensky, but the formations listed below represent the typical maximums. For League purposes, Elemental, Aerospace, and conventional Armor Units have been converted into Mech Units. Clan Organizations used in the Astral Dominion League will use the following organizations as it’s guideline: Galaxy = 5 Clusters (375 Mechs) Comstar and Word of Blake TeamsComstar and the Word of Blake follow a slightly different Organization than either the Clans, or the rest of the Inner Sphere. The Word of Blake/Comstar forces use a “Base 6” for their Military Units; while the Clans use a “Base 5”, and the Inner Sphere generally use a “Base 3”. As such, their designations are slightly different. A Roman numeral determines a Word of Blake/Comstar Unit size. Normally a Greek letter from alpha to omega determines its exact makeup, and percentage of Mechs to conventional forces. Although all Word of Blake/Comstar Units are all combined arms formations, the Astral Dominion League will focus on only their Mech Strengths, converting conventional forces into Mech forces, to determine Unit size for Organizations larger than Level II. The Word/Word of Blake Military organization is as follows: Level VI: 864 Mechs = 1 Hemisphere (Roughly 8 Regiments)
